Tewkesbury MP claims more than £10,000 worth of freebies from betting firms

According to House of Commons records, Conservative MP for Tewkesbury Laurence Robertson has accepted more than £10,000 worth of free tickets and hospitality at horse racing events in the last 18 months from betting firms such as Ladbrooks and William Hill while in the role as Chairman of the All-Party Group on Racing.

Records show that Robertson has also been paid £2,500 to answer questions for polling companies, who allow businesses to target politicians - the surveys from Ipsos MORI and YouGov paying as much as £200 per hour!

This is all on top of the £6,000 a year he has declared for 50 hours work as an adviser for a waste and recycling firm!

Has our MP got our full attention?

At a time when Parliament was grappling with the Conservatives' bungling of Brexit, Mr Robertson's attention doesn't seem to have been fully on the job as our MP. At this time, more than any other, we need a Full-time MP who can put the Tewkesbury constituency first.

Can the poor soul really not manage on his £77,000 a year MP's salary?
